It’s been a snowy few days around here and our little snow angel has LOVED it. This was the first time she’s ever played in the snow so it was nice that it stuck around a few days giving her lots of time to play. We were so unprepared for it to hit… her coat’s too small and we only had oversized knit gloves for her tiny hands but she could care less. Her favorite part was throwing snowballs at the neighbor kids :) Well, and eating the snow… she was shoveling it in! We literally had to drag her inside before she turned into an ice cube!
Since she was so into eating the snow I thought she would love making some snow cream. By Saturday evening we had about 8 inches of snow so it was easy to scoop up some fresh white stuff and make some yummy snow cream!
Here’s the recipe we came up with- mix up 1/2 cup whole milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Add it to 8 cups of fresh snow and mix. Top with lots of sprinkles, obviously :)
Next I tried some espresso chip by just adding two shots of espresso and some mini chocolate chips to the above recipe. It was really good!
I’m mostly ready for all of the snow to be gone, but a little bit sad to see it go at the same time. Luckily for us we still have a stash of snow cream in the freezer :)
