The Easter bunny sure was busy around here! Presley was lucky enough to have him leave presents for her in her room, with all of her Grandparents and with her Guncle- needless to say she was spoiled! She was SO into hunting eggs this year. She practiced with her Daddio for a good hour on Friday and was coached up on the quickest and most efficient ways to hunt eggs :) I could hear him tell her “Just grab as many as you can and don’t stop to see what is in each one. We’ll open them all up after.” Competitive much? Honestly, between the two of us she has no chance of being easy going and passive when it comes to competition!
Saturday morning we headed out to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm to meet friends for the egg hunt. The weather was horrible. I mean real, real bad. Rain and lots of wind made it a real pleasant experience. The girls were troopers and ended up with baskets full of eggs. We huddled under the tent for some hot chocolate and elephant ears (because when they have elephant ears you just have to get one) and then decided to head home and come back to the farm on Sunday when the sunshine was supposed to arrive.
^^ Little frozen egg hunters ^^
Sunday morning Presley woke up to find a trail of easter eggs leading to her basket full of goodies. My parents used to make a trail of eggs to our baskets and I remember thinking it was so fun to follow the trail to our loot! She really loved it too!
We also hid a few special eggs around her room which she had so much fun searching for :)
^^ She even let her little frenemie get in on the action :) ^^
After she had enough time to play with some of her goodies… and eat a little too much candy we got dressed and headed to the tulip farm again. This time the weather was MUCH better!
^^ You guys. They seriously RUN into each others’ arms every time they see each other. Kind of the cutest thing ever! ^^
^^ Pres finally rode a pony! ^^
^^ I wasn’t planning on going down the slide… but some sneaky kids trapped me up top so my only way down was… ^^
^^ I have a picture of these girls in the wooden shoes when we were celebrating Presley’s first Easter. Now they can barely fit in them :( I wish they would stop growing! ^^
This was just beginning of our Easter fun- next we were off to Nana and Papa’s for lunch and another egg hunt. It also involved an Easter dress and cow poop :) More on that later in the week.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
